Harold Ramis Dead At 69

Harold Ramis, the iconic comedy actor and director, has passed away.  



He was 69.

Ramis passed away from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, having dealt with health issues since 2010.


The legendary actor was one of the most influential voices in comedy over the past 40 years, directing hits featuring "National Lampoon's Vacation", "Caddyshack", "Analyze This" and "Groundhog Day".

Ramis also starred in the "Ghostbusters" films and "Stripes", along with appearances in everything from "As Good As It Gets" to "Knocked Up".


Ramis wrote "Animal House", produced "Back to School" and was considered an inspiration by Adam Sandler, Judd Apatow  and other major comedians.
