John Cusack Rips President Obama: "He's Worse Than Bush"

John Cusack blasted President Obama in an interview on Thursday, claiming his administration's policies about "drones, the American Empire, the NSA, civil liberties, attacks on journalism and whistleblowers" are "as bad or worse than (George) Bush."

Cusack, 48, noted that he didn't believe Dick Cheney or Richard Nixon would agree with Obama, 53, that the president he has the right to "unilaterally decide whom he can kill around the world."

The actor's remarks came during a Q&A with the Daily Beast while he was promoting his upcoming movie "Love & Mercy". When the reported noticed that Cusack is often straightforward about current events, whereas others stars tend to skirt arguable subjects, he stated: "No, I don't care about any of that sh*t. All those people are just full of hot air and networking and stuff."

Cusack added that Obama had "extended and hardened the cement on a lot of Bush\s post-9/11 Terror, Inc. policies, so he's very similar to Bush in every way that way." He pointed out" "Since 9/11 there are magic words like "terror," and if you use magic words, you can justify any power grab you want."
